Here is a great video from Marty Rozmanith from WordPress Direct. In it he discusses some amazing statistics on how an impressive percentage of blogs managed by WordPress Direct users are getting first page rankings in Google.

I currently have 18 blogs managed on WordPress and several of mine are on the first page for their main targeted keywords as well as one in the number 1 position in Google and one in the number 1 spot on Yahoo. Several of the secondary keywords are ranking well too.

A Simple Way to Earn More Clickbank Affiliate Commissions

I was doing some tweeking to a Clickbank product of mine today and I stumbled on an easy way to increase some traffic to my site. Clickbank now has a contextual ad feature similar to Google ads.

It can actually help you make more money two ways. If you are a product owner you can create small text ads on affiliate sites promoting your product. As an affiliate you can increase your Clickbank commissions by placing these ads on your site and giving your visitors a variety of site keyword related products to choose from for purchase. This is done by using Clickbank’s HopAd Builder feature.

I’ve been using this feature on my affiliate sites for a while now. It’s a simple widget that you can place on your sites. You can configure it by selecting keywords that are relevant to your site. The HopAd widget then pulls a feed of relevant products and inserts your affiliate id into the ad. When someone clicks on the ad and makes a purchase, you get a commission. This is an easy way to add relevant ads to your affiliate sites for Clickbank products that you might not have found or considered otherwise.

Today I finally got around to creating some ads for my own product. This is a great way to add more visibility for your products which will lead to more sales. It was simple to do and only took a few minutes to create the ads.

The ads will be reviewed before they go live and can be modified, deleted or temporarily turned off if need be. At present you can create five ads per product.

I just thought I’d share this simple trick with you to boost your Clickbank sales and affiliate commissions.

You can assess the HopAd Builder feature and instructions by logging into your Clickbank account and going to the Account Settings tab and then the HopAd Builder link. For product owners who want to create ads just click on the Account Settings tab then the My Ads link and follow the step by step instructions. If you don’t have an account already you can go to ClickBank.com and sign up for a free affiliate account and start promoting with the HopAd builder on your sites and increasing your Clickbank affiliate commissions right away.

SocialOomph upgrades to more secure access to Twitter.

SocialOomph is a great free service, with a paid premium service. I’ve been using them for several months now to streamline my Twitter marketing efforts. I logged in today to add another niche blog to Twitter and they have made some changes. Here’s the annoucement on their site.

SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT – Wednesday, February 10th

We’ve converted the way we access Twitter accounts to a more secure method (OAuth) where we don’t need your Twitter password. Please select “Social Accounts, Manage Accounts” to convert your Twitter account(s). Everything will still work if you prefer to stay with the old Twitter username/password method of access. Conversion will only become mandatory around June 2010.

This is really good news since their service will be more secure. You previously had to give your Twitter password to allow them to access Twitter but now they have implemented the OAuth method so it is much more secure and you just log into your Twitter account first and then authorize SocialOomph to access your account on an ongoing basis or until you no longer wish to do so.

I’ve been recommending their service for several months now as well and I always caution people to be vary of giving out any password. The internet is growing so fast and everyone has to get up to speed on safety too.

SocialOomph now has added this safety feature so you should feel more secure that they take your personal information and safety seriously. If you use Twitter and other social networks in your business or would like to, I would recommend SocialOomph to help you with managing your accounts.
