I was doing some tweeking to a Clickbank product of mine today and I stumbled on an easy way to increase some traffic to my site. Clickbank now has a contextual ad feature similar to Google ads.

It can actually help you make more money two ways. If you are a product owner you can create small text ads on affiliate sites promoting your product. As an affiliate you can increase your Clickbank commissions by placing these ads on your site and giving your visitors a variety of site keyword related products to choose from for purchase. This is done by using Clickbank’s HopAd Builder feature.

I’ve been using this feature on my affiliate sites for a while now. It’s a simple widget that you can place on your sites. You can configure it by selecting keywords that are relevant to your site. The HopAd widget then pulls a feed of relevant products and inserts your affiliate id into the ad. When someone clicks on the ad and makes a purchase, you get a commission. This is an easy way to add relevant ads to your affiliate sites for Clickbank products that you might not have found or considered otherwise.

Today I finally got around to creating some ads for my own product. This is a great way to add more visibility for your products which will lead to more sales. It was simple to do and only took a few minutes to create the ads.

The ads will be reviewed before they go live and can be modified, deleted or temporarily turned off if need be. At present you can create five ads per product.

I just thought I’d share this simple trick with you to boost your Clickbank sales and affiliate commissions.

You can assess the HopAd Builder feature and instructions by logging into your Clickbank account and going to the Account Settings tab and then the HopAd Builder link. For product owners who want to create ads just click on the Account Settings tab then the My Ads link and follow the step by step instructions. If you don’t have an account already you can go to ClickBank.com and sign up for a free affiliate account and start promoting with the HopAd builder on your sites and increasing your Clickbank affiliate commissions right away.
